Stories from the Stones

Denne Cemetery Tour Dates 2026

More and more people are discovering this green oasis in our town. Information boards, general clearance of overgrown areas, and a bench seat all make it a more attractive and interesting place to visit.

But, can you really say that about a cemetery?

Perhaps the answer is yes if the cemetery has been closed for over a century  and is now a treasure trove of Horsham’s Victorian history.  Many of the people who shaped our town during that era are buried in Denne Cemetery. The good, and the not-so-good. If you would like to hear their stories then do join one of our tours.

The free ‘Stories from the Stones’ tours are led by Vee Willis, a Horsham Heritage Walks Guide. Group size is limited to 15 people per tour and pre-booking is essential.

Booking is required via: events@horshamsociety.org
