242 (years) not out! - a history of cricket in Horsham

One hundred years after the first movie film of County Cricket at Horsham, it seemed a good idea to review the history of Horsham cricket. We learn that cricket started here nearly 250 years ago and is still going strong. We hear about the characters and the circumstances which have shaped cricket in the town. We see some of the triumphs which have made the Cricket Club the success that it is today. We also see glimpses of how other sports have joined to form today's Horsham Sports Club.

The 1913 film was donated to The Horsham Society by the family of the late Harold Scott, projectionist at the Central Picture Hall. The still photographs have been donated by various individuals and organisations as credited at the end of the film.

This DVD will be of interest to both cricket enthusiasts and to local historians.
Running time: 25 mins approx.
