It's little patches of green like
this that make Horsham town centre so attractive, and
the Society has campaigned strongly for the
preservation of these green "lungs".
In June 2007 this one (at the corner of Denne
Road and Hadmans Close) came under threat -
a developer applied for planning permission to
build a two-bedroom house on this small grassy area. We submitted an objection to this proposal, and we
encouraged members to do likewise.
Over 20 letters of objection were
sent to HDC and the application was refused.
