Planning: letters of
representation |
June 2009 |
30 June 2009
Head of Development Control
Horsham District Council
Park House, North Street
Horsham RH12 1RL
Dear Mr Wright
DC/09/0940 28 WIMBLEHURST ROAD , HORSHAM
I write on behalf of the Horsham Society to object to
the above.
The Society notes that the proposal is to demolish a
double garage and conservatory and build a 3-storey
4-bedroom detached dwelling similar in design to, but
smaller in extent than, the original family house
which has only recently been extended and converted to
flats.
The Society further notes that the site is in a
Conservation Area and openness is one of the
characteristic features. It is therefore concerned
that the proposed dwelling would be only one metre
from the side boundary with the next property and
contribute to a significant and further loss of open
space.
The Society is also concerned that the site is to
provide parking not only for the proposed dwelling but
to contribute to the parking for the existing flats
and it is not immediately clear that vehicles will be
able to turn to leave the site in forward gear. This
road is well known for the high levels of traffic
which regularly occur.
Yours sincerely
Oliver Palmer
