HDC introduces Tetrapak recycling

Each year, UK beverage carton manufacturers produce approximately 55,000 tonnes of paper based cartons for milk, juice, sauces and other liquid foods & drinks.  This equates to around 2.3kg of cartons per household, and you may have wondered why there are no facilities to recycle them.

Well, there are now - HDC recently introduced a limited number of special collection bins throughout the district.  Horsham's are at Oak Tree Way, off Redkiln Way, and despite the rather out-of-the-way location they seem to be getting  a lot of use.

Tetrapaks and similar containers can be recycled into a number of different products, ranging from plasterboard liner to high strength paper bags and envelopes, so why not make use of the facilities?
