The Town Hall
The Council's advisory working
party recently concluded by a majority that the the Old Town
Hall should be developed as a Folk & Community Arts centre. This
recommendation has yet to be placed before the
Council's Cabinet before a final decision is taken in
full Council.
The Council has proposed converting the building to
commercial use, probably as a restaurant, but there is
strong opposition to this within the community.
The Folk & Community Arts Centre proposal was put
forward by the Blue Flash Music Trust (which has had a
long association with the Town Hall) and Horsham Folk
Club. |
