Horsham Park
Updated October 2011

Horsham
Park
has been called the jewel in Horsham’s crown. We are
able to enjoy this beautiful and tranquil parkland in
the centre of our town because of the foresight of our
predecessors and the Horsham Society is determined to
protect it from piecemeal development and
suburbanisation.
The
Society was instrumental in ensuring that when the old
nursery building reached the end of its life the
Council honoured its promise to restore the area to
parkland. Now completed, this scheme is some small
recompense for the land lost to buildings and car
parks in recent years.
The
Human Nature Garden has replaced the old putting green
which was decommissioned some years ago.
